Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Callia Couture collects when you shop with us online or at our boutique, why we use it, who receives it, and what your rights are. It follows the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 30 of 2018).
Who we are
Callia Couture Trading (“Callia Couture”, “we”) is a children’s clothing boutique, registered in the Kingdom of Bahrain as an individual establishment under Commercial Registration No. 72922-20. We sell online at calliacouture.com and at our shop at Building 1991, Road 3857, Block 538, Diraz, Kingdom of Bahrain. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at hi@calliacouture.com or on WhatsApp at +973 3445 6168.
What we collect
- When you order online: your name, delivery area and address, email address, phone number (optional), any note you add, and the items you order. We need your name, address and email to process and deliver your order, and can’t complete it without them. Online orders are paid cash on delivery, so we don’t collect card details on the website.
- At our shop: the items you buy and how you paid. If you ask for your invoice on WhatsApp, we also keep your name and mobile number. Card and BenefitPay payments go through the payment terminal or app; we never see or keep your card number.
- When you contact us by WhatsApp, Instagram, email or phone: your name, number or account, and what you send us.
- When you browse the website: cookies and similar technologies record the pages you visit, the products you view, what you add to your bag, your device and browser, and an approximate location based on your IP address. See “Cookies, analytics and advertising” below.
We don’t ask for sensitive data, such as health or religious beliefs. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children: our customers are adults shopping for children, and a child’s age only appears as the size you choose.
Why we use it
- To process, deliver, exchange and refund your orders and to send your invoice. This is necessary to carry out your purchase.
- To keep the invoices and accounting records that Bahrain’s commercial and tax laws require.
- To answer your messages and help you choose sizes.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it, and to measure and show our ads (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and Google Ads), only if you accept cookies.
- To send you news, offers and new pieces, only as described under “Marketing messages”.
We do not sell your personal data.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
- Essential cookies keep your bag and checkout working. The website also remembers small preferences in your browser, such as how products are displayed.
- Analytics and advertising cookies (everything listed below) only run after you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. If you choose “Reject”, they don’t load. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google) shows us how many people visit, which pages and products they view, and where they leave, using cookies such as
_ga. Analytics data is kept for no more than 14 months. - Meta Pixel (Meta) records visits, products viewed, items added to the bag, checkouts started and purchases (order number, value and items), using cookies such as
_fbp. It helps us measure our Instagram and Facebook ads and show ads to people who have visited our website. Meta may link this information to your Facebook or Instagram account under its own policy. - Google Ads conversion tracking (through Google for WooCommerce) records purchases so we can measure our Google ads.
- Order source (WooCommerce, cookies starting with
sbjs_) remembers how you reached our website, for example from Instagram or a Google search, and saves it with your order. This information stays on our website and isn’t shared with Google or Meta. - We don’t send your name, email or phone number to Google or Meta through these tools.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and manage ads in Facebook or Instagram under Settings → Ad preferences. If you block essential cookies, the bag and checkout may stop working.
Marketing messages
- We send newsletter emails only if you tick the sign-up box at checkout. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- If you have bought from us, we may message you on WhatsApp about new pieces and offers, for example when new pieces arrive in the next size up. Reply “stop” or tell us, and we’ll stop.
- You can object to marketing at any time, free of charge. We stop within 10 working days at the latest, and usually the same day.
Who receives your data
- The Callia Couture team, only as far as their work needs it.
- Whoever delivers your order, who receives only your name, phone number, area and address.
- Service providers that run the shop for us: website and email hosting, Google (analytics and ads), Meta (Pixel, WhatsApp and Instagram) and our newsletter tool. We use them only for the purposes in this policy, and each has its own privacy policy.
- Government authorities, when the law requires it or under an order from a competent court or the Public Prosecution.
Data stored outside Bahrain
Our website hosting and the Google and Meta services above store data on servers outside the Kingdom of Bahrain. We use them only for the purposes in this policy, and they apply recognised standards for data security and protection. Analytics and advertising data is only sent to Google and Meta if you accept cookies.
How long we keep it
- Orders, invoices and refunds: for as long as Bahrain’s commercial and tax laws require.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics: no more than 14 months.
- Chats: they stay in our WhatsApp, Instagram and email accounts, and you can ask us to delete them.
How we protect it
The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Only our team can open orders, each with their own login. The invoice link we send on WhatsApp contains a private code that only you receive. We don’t keep card numbers.
Your rights
Under Law No. 30 of 2018 you can, free of charge:
- ask whether we process your data, and find out what data we hold, where it came from, why we use it and who receives it. We reply within 15 working days.
- ask us to correct, block or erase data that is inaccurate, incomplete or outdated, or that is processed unlawfully. We reply within 10 working days. Some records, such as invoices, must be kept by law, and we’ll tell you if this applies.
- object to marketing at any time (see “Marketing messages”).
- object to processing that causes, or is likely to cause, substantial and unwarranted material or moral harm to you or to others.
- withdraw any consent you have given, such as accepting cookies (through “Cookie settings”) or your newsletter sign-up.
To use these rights, message us from the phone number or email address on your order, or visit our shop, so we can confirm it’s you. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Authority in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when we add a new service. The date at the top shows the latest version.
